Kelly Marie (Curran) Howes, age 62, daughter of the late Shirley L. Rea and James J. Curran Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 10, 2021 at her home in Lakeville. Kelly was born on Thursday May 22, 1958 in Middleboro MA. She graduated from Middleboro High School, class of 1977, and then went on to earn her Certified Nurse’s Aide (C.N.A) certification. She would put that certification to good use as she worked as a mental health care worker for Bridgewater State Hospital. Kelly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, who she loved deeply. She also enjoyed working out, dancing, the beach, walking the canal, and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro. She is survived by; her son Keith A. Howes, Jr. of Carver, son Michael D. Howes and his wife Kalynne of Carver, five grandchildren Lauren, Emmalee, Michael Jr., Isla, and Mason Howes all of Carver, brother James of Boston, brother David Curran of Wareham, sister Lisa Curran of Middleboro, brother Paul Couturier of Brockton, aunts Sherilyn Shurtleff and Linda Amiro, uncles John Rea, Louis Rea, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service for Kelly will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, on Wood Street in Middleboro, on Friday May 28, 2021 @ 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kelly’s name may be made to one of her two favorite charities; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital @ www.stjude.org or, the ASPCA @ www.aspca.org.
