Kenneth Roopcharan, 85, son of the late James Emmanuel and Violet (Kalicharan) Roopcharan, passed away suddenly on Wednesday July 14, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton,MA. Kenneth was born on Sunday October 26, 1935, in Lengua Village, Trinidad and Tobago, where he attended school, and worked as a self-employed building contractor and carpenter. He then moved to the United States in 1994 and lived in Stoughton, MA, with his son and daughter in law and their two boys. Kenneth liked fishing, sports (especially cricket), and gardening. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was known as Grandpa to all the neighborhood kids. Kenneth is survived by his daughter Camille Baum and her husband Charles of Chicago, IL, son Rawlins Roopcharan and his wife Judy of Lakeville, MA, daughter Andrea Roopcharan of Stoughton, MA, son Rory Roopcharan and his wife Michelle of Attleboro, MA, grandchildren, Ariana, Cain, Kevin, Sean, Grace, and Neela. Kenneth just missed meeting his first great-grandchild, who is due any day now. He is also survived by his brothers, Winston Roopcharan, and Keith Roopcharan. Kenneth was predeceased by his sisters, Priscilla Mahadeo, and Maureen Pancham. Visitation for Kenneth will take place on Wednesday July 21, 2021, from 3:00 – 5:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 5:00PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville MA 02347.
