Lillian J. (Naviskas) Craig

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Lillian J. Craig of Lakeville, MA who peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the age of 92 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born to Walter and Tophelia (Sarachick) Naviskas in Bridgewater, she grew up in Bridgewater and was a cheerleader at Bridgewater High School, graduating in 1951.

Lillian, known to many as Lee, worked at Independent Nail in Bridgewater.  She met the love of her life, Ronald Craig of Middleboro, married in 1954, and raised their two children Susan and Thomas. They were married for 55 years before Ronnie’s passing.  They owned and operated Craig’s Pharmacy for 18 years and she worked at Prescription Pharmacy years later with Ronnie and his partner Marcel Chretien before they retired. They lived in Middleboro for many years before moving to North Falmouth. New Silver Beach was their summer home for many years where the house was always full of family and friends. Lillian spent the last 13 years living in Lakeville.

Lillian was involved in many social activities including Cabot Club, Sacred Heart Church Ladies Sodality, Eucharistic Minister, St. Luke’s Hospital Club and helped raise funds for the Middleboro High School girls track team uniforms by holding bake sales.

She is survived by her daughter Susan (Craig) Spieler and her partner Robert Stanghellini of Lakeville; her son Thomas and his wife Michelle of Cranston, RI; granddaughters Shannon (Craig) Welch of Taunton; Nicole (Spieler) Bartlett and her husband Gavin of Lakeville and the late Mandy Craig; her great grandchildren, Brent and Drew Bartlett and Liam Welch, knew her affectionately as GG. She was the sister of the late Nellie (Naviskas) Chimbur. She also left behind several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately in April.  Your thoughts and prayers during this time of grief are greatly appreciated.
