Linda S. (Silva) Ahr

Linda Susan (Silva) Ahr, age 72, wife of the late William A. Ahr, passed away on Thursday September 29, 2022, at her home in Lakeville, MA, following a fifteen year long battle with ALS. Born in Taunton, MA, on Wednesday March 8, 1950, Linda was the daughter of the late Manuel and Antoinetta (Barrigo) Silva.

Growing up in Taunton, MA, she graduated from Taunton High School. Linda was a resident of Lakeville, MA, for many years where she shared a home with her longtime partner Tom McIntyre. Prior to living in Lakeville, she lived in West Bridgewater, MA. Linda worked for the former Chadwick’s of Boston as a supervisor until her retirement, which left more time for some of her favorite things to do, like playing Bingo, sewing, crafts, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and their families.

In addition to her life partner Thomas McIntyre of Lakeville, MA, Linda is survived by her daughter Nina Peckham of Marshfield, MA, son William Ahr of Concord, NC, grandchildren Madison and Mia Peckham, and Jackson Ahr, sisters Mary Panettieri and her husband Peter of Lakeville, and Josephine Ashley of Tennessee, brother Donald Silva of Lakeville, including many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her brother Manuel Silva, formerly of Taunton.

All are welcome to attend visiting hours for Linda on Thursday October 6, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 7, 2022, at 10:00AM at Sts. Martha and Mary Catholic Church 354 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. Interment will follow at Sampson Cemetery in Lakeville.
