Linda A. Dower

Linda Anne Dower, age 68, of Bridgewater, MA, passed away on Saturday June 22, 2024, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, following a brief illness. Born in Brockton, MA on Thursday, April 5, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Marian E. (Nash) Dower. Linda grew up in the Richmond Street projects of Brockton. She was hired by the Brockton Housing Authority and worked her way up to a manager’s position, for which her family was very proud of her. Linda was set to retire this coming August after a long and successful career with the Brockton Housing Authority. Linda was an avid animal lover and longtime supporter of the M.S.P.C.A. For many years, Linda was a member of the Vulcarians at the Vega Club in Brockton. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and coworkers. Linda is survived by her longtime companion Paul MacMurdo Jr which they shared 48 years together. She is also survived by her son John Dower, daughter Crystal MacMurdo, daughter Heather McArthy, several grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins all who she loved very much. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas Dower Jr and Edward Dower. Visiting hours for Linda will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347.
