Madeline L. (Tripp) Hendricks

Madeline L. Hendricks, age 98, of East Bridgewater, MA, peacefully passed away on July 6, 2026, at the Sachem Center for Health & Rehabilitation, where she was surrounded by love and care. Born on March 14, 1928, in Middleboro, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ralph W. and Alice (Russell) Tripp.

Madeline lived a life filled with love and devotion. She was first married to Donald A. Wood, with whom she shared 35 beautiful years, and later to Christoffer T. Hendricks for 2 years. She was a proud mother of Barry Wood, and his wife Linda, Lorraine Wood, David Wood, and Michael Wood, and his wife Mary. Her family, including her beloved grandchildren, Curtis Wood, Joshua Wood, and the late Donald B. Wood brought her immense joy.

Predeceased by her siblings Irma Gomes, Edith Ouelette, Russell Tripp, Margaret Ribeiro, and Ralph W. Tripp Jr., Madeline's legacy continues to be cherished by her surviving family and friends. A South Middleboro native, she graduated from Memorial High School in Middleboro, Class of 1946. She was an avid member of the Emblem Club, proudly serving as its three-time president. Madeline's adventurous spirit shone through her love for traveling and taking cruises. Deeply patriotic, she held her faith, family, and country close to her heart.

In honor of Madeline's remarkable life, memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 29, 2026, from 5:00-7:00PM, at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. Followed by a memorial service at 7:00PM. Madeline will respectfully be laid to rest at South Middleboro Cemetery, in Middleboro, MA, with a private family service.

As we reflect on her life, let us celebrate her kindness, her unwavering love for those around her, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered.
