Mark Cliffton Evans, age 67, husband of Joanne (Wright) Evans, for 44 years, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at his home in Lakeville, MA, after a long fight with Pancreatic Cancer. Born in Brockton, MA, on Monday, April 25, 1955, he was the son of the late John M. and Shirley J. (Browne) Evans. Mark grew up in East Bridgewater and graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational-Technical High School’s Auto Body program. Mark and his wife moved to Lakeville in 1987, the same year Mark opened his own autobody shop, Sha-Nic Autobody also in Lakeville.
Mark had many interests and hobbies, early in his career he worked on building mustangs and motorcycles before focusing on autobody. He enjoyed woodworking, making cutting boards, doing puzzles, driving side by sides, taking the kids to the beaver dam, and he loved to travel. Mark was very proud of the home he built in Vermont for he and his family and friends to enjoy and gather.
In addition to his wife Joanne, Mark is survived by his two daughters; Shanna Souza and her husband John of Lakeville and Nicole Evans-Mompoint and her husband Jeff Mompoint of Brockton, grandchildren; Avery and Aubrey Souza and Sophia and Zoe Mompoint. He also leaves behind his sister Marcia C. Evans of Readsboro, VT, and extended family and friends.
Memorial visitation for Mark will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347, followed by a memorial service at 1:00PM.
