It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Christina DesRoche (Sullivan) of Raynham, formerly of Lakeville, who departed peacefully on January 17, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 28th, 1954, in Brockton, MA, Mary was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School and holder of an associate degree from Massasoit Community College, Mary devoted many years of service to the Town of Lakeville as a member of the Treasurer's Office, where her meticulousness and cheerful demeanor made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community. While she built a successful professional life, it was her family that brought her the greatest joy and sense of pride.
Mary is lovingly remembered as the daughter of the late Timothy and Agnes Sullivan. She is survived by her sister Cathy (Sullivan) Cunningham and her husband Rich, her brother Timothy Sullivan, her children Bobby and his wife Kara DesRoche of Mansfield, Catherine (DesRoche) and her husband Andy Young of Plymouth, and Lizzy (DesRoche) and her husband Chris Doney of Scituate. Her cherished grandchildren, Connor, Garrett, Owen, Kate, and Mary, will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Billy DesRoche, whom she missed dearly. Mary held a deep and abiding faith, believing firmly in the promise of reunion with her husband and the joy of eternal life. She placed great value on the bonds of family and the cherished friendships she built throughout her life. Her laughter and enduring sense of humor were a source of comfort to many.
In honor of Mary's life, family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and offer condolences on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 9:30 AM at St. John Neumann Church, located at 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown, MA 02717.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mary's memory to Rosie's Place, 889 Harrison Avenue Boston, MA 02118, (www.rosiesplace.org) a cause she supported throughout the years. Mary's life was a testament to love, faith, and compassion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
