Mary Ieronimo Obituary

Mary L. (Malaney) Ieronimo, age 86, loving wife for 64 years to Nicholas C. Ieronimo, passed away Sunday February 13, 2022, at her home in Middleboro surrounded by her family following a brief illness. Born on Thursday December 26, 1935, in Cambridge, Mary was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (McCarty) Malaney, and attended Whitman-Hanson Region High School. She and her husband Nick lived in Hanson, and Halifax before moving to Middleboro where they have lived for the past 52 years. During that time, Mary worked as a supervisor for the former Bell Telephone Company, later working for Ocean Spray as a floor manger for many years before retirement. Mary enjoyed participating in the different bowling leagues in the area when she was younger. She also enjoyed making ceramics, gardening with her husband Nick, and camping down at Sandy Neck beach. Her personal favorite was St. Patrick’s Day, and anything Irish, especially the music! Mary and Nick attended church at Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro for the past 50 years. In addition to her husband Nick, Mary is survived by her son Nicholas Ieronimo and Lisa Bacchiocci of Middleboro, daughter Mary Ellen Perry and her husband Chris of Middleboro, and son Robert Ieronimo and his wife Megan of Carver, grandchildren Justin and Sandy Ieronimo, Nicholas and Kassondra Ieronimo, Brian and Kalaigh Perry, Angela and Louie Mattie, Brenna Ieronimo, Brooke Ieronimo, Laicey Ieronimo, Zachary Ieronimo, Gianna Ieronimo, and Cali Ieronimo, great grandchildren Jack, Cameron, and Kaylee, and Natalia Ieronimo, and Lana and Kaine Brady, and her two sisters Rita Savage and Joan Kraus. Mary was predeceased by her grandson Camden Ieronimo and sister Barbara Sly. Mary’s family would like to thank Cranberry Hospice for the their care and compassion for Mary, Nick and family. Visiting hours for Mary will be held on Thursday February 17, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Friday February 18, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church 340 Center Street Middleboro, MA 02346. Mary will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery on Wood Street in Middleboro immediately following the funeral mass.
