Mary Jane (Chippen) Hoffman

Mary-Jane (Chippen) Hoffman was born on March 5, 1946. She spent her childhood residing in North Easton.  MJ was protected by her guardian angel mother, Anne. She was loved and cared for by her grandmother, Beatrice.  MJ was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School “class of 1964.” She was a dedicated nurse for 39 years. On June 27, 1965, she became the spoiled wife of Robert Hoffman, “her Bobby.” Their marriage lasting 58 years, MJ was the love of his life as he was her’s. An adored mother of three: Jennifer, Kristin, Michael and his wife Jill.  A selfless grandmother of 6: Christopher (Nicole), Kristin, Tayla (Matt), Katie, Andrew, and Tiffany. With a bonus to be a loving great grandmother of 7. She has taught many lessons in her lifetime, but the most important was how to live life to the fullest.  Her favorite hobby was knitting, and she was an avid collector of beanie babies. From starting the roars at Patriots games, running blackjack tables at Foxwoods, countless concerts, years of camping and traveling the world with the love of her life. MJ spared no expense to give her family a life she always deserved. On May 12, 2023, our family lost our fearless leader but gained a devoted guardian angel. Until we meet again, we will visit you at Scusset Beach and search the sky for your red cardinals. Please join us at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home at 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, for visitation from 3-6pm, with a service at 5:30. In honor of our matriarch, wear your favorite Patriots attire, as MJ and her family will be.
