Maynard W. Reynolds Jr.

Maynard W. Reynolds Jr., age 86, husband of the late Marcia L. (White) Reynolds, passed away on Saturday September 17, 2022, at Sippican Health Care in Marion, MA, following a period of failing health battling dementia. Born on Sunday, March 29, 1936, in East Freetown, MA, Maynard was the son of the late Maynard W. and Marjorie L. (Potter) Reynolds Sr. Born and raised in East Freetown, Maynard later moved to Lakeville, where he was a longtime resident before moving to Carver, twenty-two years ago. He worked as a custodian at the George R. Austin Middle School in Lakeville up until his retirement and was a former member of the Lakeville Eagles Club. Maynard was a self-taught musician. He played the guitar, piano, and banjo. He also loved to jump in the car and go for rides to New Hampshire. Maynard is survived by his four children: Todd W. Reynolds and his partner Jeff Tapp of Fall River, Marjorie E. Reynolds and her fiancé David Cahill of Taunton, Harry W. Reynolds of Rehoboth, and Lorna J. Paradis and her husband Shawn of East Freetown, grandchildren: Jason, Austin, Corey, Matthew R. Prince, Zachary T. Reynolds and Jacob R. Paradis, sisters Lorraine Hobson and Roxanne Zeiba, adopted child Denise (DeMello) Dupont, partner of 33 years Nancy Borden of Carver and her two children Lisa and Tracey and several grandchildren. Maynard was the brother of the late Carl Reynolds. All are welcome to attend visiting hours on Thursday September 22, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. Followed by a funeral home service at 7:00PM. Interment at Precinct Cemetery will take place at a future date.
