Nancy O MacDermid, age 92 of Middleboro, MA (formerly of Avon, MA), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Nancy was the devoted wife of the late Kenneth N. MacDermid, who was the love of her life. Born in Boston, MA on November 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Leonard & Priscilla Osmond.
Family was everything to Nancy. She enjoyed her weekly lunch date with her late son Thomas, and weekend visits to her sons & daughters’ homes which was her "routine" for many years. Celebrating family Christmas at Jon & Lynn's home was very special to her as she got to see her children, grandchildren and greats all together at the same time.
She also loved meeting her best friend of over 75 years, Patricia Dykens, for lunch every other week, Pat meant the world to her.
Nancy was a very talented seamstress having regular customers who came to her Avon home for everything from making wedding dresses to curtains to any kind of alteration, you name it she could sew it all. She was also a gifted painter, painting various canvases over the years. There's not many of us that don't have something that Nan either sewed or painted.
Nancy was selfless. She was the kindest, sweetest, most caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always smiling. She will be missed more than words can say.
She was the loving mother to the late Thomas MacDermid, Diane Regan and her late husband Robert with whom she made her home, Janice Donahue and her husband James, Jon MacDermid and his wife Lynn, James MacDermid and his wife Stacey all of Middleboro. Much loved "Nanny" to 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great with another on the way.
She was Sister by heart to her brother-in-law Bud Warren, loving aunt to several nieces and nephews and predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth Johnson and Joan Warren.
