Patricia Ann (Starkweather) Hoffmann

Patricia (Starkweather) Hoffman, age 82 of Lakeville, MA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday November 18, 2021, after a long illness. Patricia was born to the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Shea) Starkweather on September 12, 1939, in Boston. She was raised in Roslindale and attended Roslindale High School. Once married she lived in Jamaica Plain for ten years before moving to Holbrook where she raised her five children. After she retired, she moved to Lakeville to live with her daughter.

Patricia was an avid reader and she especially loved Stephen King novels. She enjoyed New England sports teams particularly her beloved Red Sox. Patricia was a loving mother and an exceptional cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends especially during the holidays. Patricia was a compassionate woman whose passion was caring for others. She worked as a nanny for many families over the years and she loved the children in her care dearly.

Patricia is survived by her children William Hoffmann of Grafton, Nancy Parrish and her husband Bryan of Bridgewater, Karen Gordon of Middleborough, Jill Clement of Bridgewater and Gail Trinque and her husband Scott of Lakeville. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren who were her greatest joy. Jessica Schenian and her husband Chris, Andrew Cox, Nicholas Gordon, Kerri-Ann Gordon, Molly Gordon, Jamie Clement and her fiancé Brendan, Matthew Clement, Theo Trinque, Zoe Trinque and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters Noreen Dillion, Joan Fitzgerald, and Susan Soballa.

A funeral home service for Patricia will be held on Wednesday November 24, 2021, at 7:00PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford St Lakeville, MA 02347. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 4:00PM -7:00PM.
