Obituary

Patricia J. (Haskins) Swimm, age 86, wife of Gerald Swimm for 68 years, passed away Monday September 27, 2021. Known to family and friends as Pat, she was a native and long-time resident of Lakeville, MA. Born on Saturday March 2, 1935, Pat was the daughter of the late Russell Haskins and Jennie (Cotti) Keelin. A graduate of Middleboro High School, Pat became an accomplished violinist and pianist at an early age and later taught, entertained and delighted friends and family with her musical talents. For many years she played organ for the Central Methodist Church where she and Jerry were members. She was employed as a bookkeeper for a local lumber yard and then as a scheduler and account executive at Halliday lithograph. In addition to her husband Jerry, Pat is survived by her sister Gail Lee and her husband Michael, her children Gerald Swimm, Jr. and his wife Nancy, Stephanie Danielson and her husband Arnie, Lindy Swimm and her wife Lee, Christopher Swimm and his companion Alison Anselmo, and Andrea Anderson and her husband Tim, her eight grandchildren Derrick Swimm, Shane Caledonia, Damien Caledonia, Erica Swimm, Kelson Danielson, Matthew Swimm, Ashlee Sadeck, Tessa Swimm, and twelve great grandchildren, as well as numerous much-loved nieces and nephews. Visiting hours for Pat will be held on Monday October 4, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 5, 2021, at 10:00AM also at the funeral home, followed by burial at Richmond Cemetery on the corner of Taunton and Cross Street.
