It is with great sadness we announce that Paul Richard Duphily, age 44, husband of Allison (MacNeil) Duphily, and loving father to Logan C. Duphily, and Emma L. Duphily, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday December 31, 2021. Born in Stoughton, MA on May 9, 1977, he was the son of Patricia C. (Klaila) Duphily, and the late Richard Paul Duphily. Paul was a graduate of Middleboro High School class of 1995 and was a lifelong Middleboro resident. After High School Paul proudly served in the United States Navy where his primary specialty was electrical/mechanical equipment repairman. Following his military service, he worked doing excavating, and really developed his mechanical skills learning from his father and working with his brothers in their family garage, until he ultimately found his calling for HVAC, attending NEIT in Rhode Island. Paul was extremely hard working and talented. He loved working with his hands, trying new things, and could do anything he put his mind to. He loved his twenty-two year long career in heating, plumbing, and air-conditioning and held numerous licenses and certifications. When he wasn’t working Paul loved fishing (especially the Cape Cod Canal), spending time with his kids, enjoying coffee with his mom, cooking, listening to music, watching movies and the Pats, helping others, riding his motorcycle, and having great times with friends and family. More than anything, Paul was incredibly loving, generous, and fun spirited. One of the most endearing things about Paul was his love for his children, and all the children in his life, since he was such a big kid at heart. His laughter and kindness left a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. We will miss him dearly. In addition to his wife, children and mother, he is survived by his brother Timothy Duphily and his wife Jennifer of Middleboro, brother Michael Duphily of Middleboro, mother-in-law Christine MacNeil of Middleboro, sisters-in-law Heather Hedges and husband CJ of Marion, Christina Barefoot and husband Jeff of Lakeville, Melissa Frade and husband Rick of Lakeville, nieces and nephews Richard Duphily, Ava Duphily, Isabella Duphily, Timothy Duphily, Danny Barefoot, Ethan Barefoot, Kendall Hedges, Cliffie Hedges, Vivian Frade, and Jack Frade, Including many beloved Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday February 10, 2022, from 4:00 - 7:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A memorial service will be held on Friday February 11, 2022, at 11:00AM also at the funeral home. Paul will be laid to rest in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Middleboro following the memorial service at the funeral home.
