Ralph Robinson Obituary

Ralph Baker Robinson, age 77, of Lakeville, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Ralph was the loving husband of Beth (Kushner) Robinson; beloved son of the late Shirley (Baker) and Herman Robinson; cherished brother of Nancy Farmer and her late husband Gerald, and their daughter Amy. Ralph is also survived by his nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, who all held a special place in his heart. Ralph was a 1964 graduate of Apponequet Regional High School and a 1968 graduate of Bridgewater State College. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1969-1971, including deployment to Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. Ralph loved the simple pleasures in life. He had a passion for the outdoors. He loved taking long hikes in the woods with his “4 legged kids”, taking them swimming, or for a daily ride to Dunkin Donuts for Munchkins. His love for animals was not limited to his own dogs and cats. He rescued turkeys, saved a poisoned eagle he found while driving on Bedford Street, and would put out deer feed & sliced apples twice a day for the neighborhood herd. Ralph liked to stay active. He had a passion for football, first as a player in high school and college, then later as a fan. He also enjoyed skiing, tennis, golf, jogging, and biking. Ralph was a very generous soul who will be sorely missed. A private graveside ceremony was held on Friday, February 2, 2024, accompanied by US Marine Corps Funeral Honors. Memorial donations in Ralph’s name can be sent to the MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130, www.mspca.org.
