Raymond A. Prescott, age 93, husband of the late Irene P. (Sawler) Prescott for 66 years, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022, at his home in Brockton, after a period of declining health. Born in Brockton on Sunday December 30, 1928, Ray was the son of the late Harold Prescott and Elsie (Jennings) Pelletier. Ray was a life long resident of Brockton, and he attended school in Brockton before enlisting in the United States Army towards the ending of WWII. Ray also served in the United States Naval Reserves after his time in the Army. Raymond retired in 1991 from Raytheon Technologies, where he worked as a test technician. A member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Brockton, Ray loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Raymond is survived by his son Phillip Prescott of Orrington, ME, son James Prescott and his wife Nancy of Levant, ME, son Earl Prescott and his wife Leslie of Brockton, grandchildren Christina Williams of CT, Kimberly Mileski of Raynham, Tyler Prescott and his wife Fire of RI, and Felicia Prescott of ME, four great grandchildren Annabelle, Juliette, Everett, and Gavin. Raymond was the father of the late Laurel Miller who passed away in 2016. A time of reflection will be held on Friday January 21, 2022, from 10:00-11:00AM at Immanuel Baptist Church 92 Alger Street Brockton, MA 02302, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM also at the church. Ray will be laid to rest with his late wife Irene in Avon Cemetery.
