Richard Francis “DeMo” DeMoranville, age 80, husband of Carol J. (Fidler) DeMoranville, passed away Monday 7, 2022, at his home in Lakeville, following a brief illness. Born on Friday September 26, 1941, in Plymouth, MA, Richard was the son of the late Kenneth and Frances (McGovern) DeMoranville. He grew up in Middleboro, and graduated from Middleboro Memorial High School, class of 1959. Richard and Carol got married on April 19, 1965, and moved to Lakeville. A trucker by trade, Richard owned and operated “DeMo Trucking” for 41 years. He also was a Call Firefighter for the Town of Lakeville Fire Department for over 25 years. Richard served on the Conservation Commission, the Board of Fire Engineers, and the Cemetery Commission for the Town of Lakeville. In addition to his wife Carol, Richard is survived by his nephew Kent R. Childs, and his “foster grandson” Brett Renauld. He was predeceased by his sister Berniece M. Childs. Richard will be laid to rest at Sampson Cemetery at a private burial service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to, Furget Me Not Inc. P.O.
