Robert Goslin Obituary

Robert Darrell Goslin, age 69 of Lakeville, MA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday August 28, 2021, in Idaho Falls, Idaho during a road trip across the country. He was the devoted husband of the late Nancy (Dowd) Goslin. Born on Tuesday July 1, 1952, in Raynham, MA, he was the son of the late Leonard Goslin, Sr. and the late Natalie (Moitoza) Goslin. Robert was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School and worked as a self-employed mechanic and engine rebuilder until his retirement in 2016. A resident of Lakeville for the past 23 years, Robert sold his home to travel the country in his RV. He spent the last 2 years exploring the eastern seaboard, the southern states, the mid-west and was most recently Seattle bound. In his most recent adventures, he had camped amongst wildfires and tornadoes, attended Sturgis Bike Week, gotten up close and personal with Bison, seen ZZ Top and explored Yellowstone National Park. Darrell, Bob or The Dude, as he was more commonly known to friends and close family, was a self-proclaimed Disney aficionado. He often made the trek to Walt Disney World, clearly having an addiction for the Mouse. He loved to talk to people; he would talk about his late wife, Nancy, he would talk cars and their history and operation, and of course he would talk about Disney. He loved to watch NASCAR and all things that go vroom. He and Nancy were big fans of the Rock Band, Little Feat and loved attending a variety of concerts. He loved camping, kayaking, hiking, and travelling. He loved relaxing by the fire with his family, just taking it easy and shooting the breeze. He was a lover of dirt bikes from a young age and an avid motorcyclist in his adult life, sharing his love of motorcycles with his family. He was a regular attendee at Laconia Bike Week and attended Daytona Bike Week in 2016. Darrell was known for his wit, sincerity and tenacious desire for adventure. Darrell is survived by his son Tyler Goslin and fiancé Sara-Beth, her daughter Audrey; his brother Kevin Goslin, Sr. and his wife Rita, nephew Kevin Jr, nieces, Samantha, Ursula and Natalia; sisters Meg Goslin and Mary (Goslin) Levesque, and niece Tara, nephew Leonard Goslin, III and his wife Michelle, great-nephew Leonard Goslin IV, stepmother Patricia (Calis) Goslin, and many other family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, parents, brother Leonard Goslin, Jr. and brother-in-law Gerald Levesque. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday October 8, 2021, from 5:00 – 8:00PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347, followed by a graveside service at 10:00AM on Saturday October 9, 2021, at Calvary Cemetery, 163 North Cary Street, Brockton, MA 02302.
