Robert David Morgan

Robert D. Morgan, 87 of Dighton, MA, husband of Beverly A. (Freitas) Morgan, passed away Wednesday July 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury, MA. Born on Friday June 22, 1934 in Taunton, MA, he was the son of the late John Franklin and Olive (Horton) Morgan. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the end of the Korean War. Upon his return, he lived in Taunton, MA, before moving to North Dighton, MA, for the last 55 years. Bob worked the Foxboro Company for 25 years. Following his retirement from the Foxboro Company, Bob worked for Shawmut Bank before heart issues forced him to permanently retire. During his retirement years, he enjoyed gardening, picking his own blueberries and walks with his dog “Rusty”. He and his wife Beverly also enjoyed their Saturday night dinners at the Raynham 99 Restaurant with their close friends, Joseph (Butch) Powell and his late wife Lois. In addition to his wife Beverly of 65 years, Bob is survived by his: daughter Stephanie McCarthy and her husband Michael from Rehoboth, son Jeffrey Morgan of Dighton, son William R. Morgan and his partner Mary Froehlich of Middleboro, six grandchildren: Nicole, Lauren, Michael, Allison, Bethany, and Robert, five great grandchildren: Colin, Liam, Myles, Graham, and Olive. Bob was predeceased by his; brother John Morgan, and sisters Jean Bacon, and Francis Bryant. Bob leaves this world a better place for everyone who has ever known or met him. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 18, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00PM. A funeral service for Bob will take place on Monday July 19, 2021 at 10:00AM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. In lieu of flowers please buy a stranger lunch or a coffee today, Bob would appreciate the act of kindness.
