Obituary

Robert M. Sampson, age 79, loving husband of Susan E. Turner, passed away Thursday May 5, 2022, at his home in Lakeville, MA, following a 16 month long illness. Born in East Boston, MA, on Sunday May17, 1942, he was the son of the late Clarence M. and Catherine (Laracy) Sampson. Robert was a class of 1959 graduate of East Boston High School, and a 1963 graduate of Mass College of Pharmacy. A resident of Lakeville for the past 37 years, Robert worked for the Drug Enforcement Agency for 26 years, and was employed by Sedells Pharmacy as a registered pharmacist. He was also in the Coast Guard Reserves. Robert was a member of the Mass Bay Railroad Society, and enjoyed “G” scale model trains and rail excursions. In addition to his wife Susan, Robert is survived by his children Tracey, Lisa, Lorie, Kerri, and Jeremy, his son in law John, and grandchildren Morgan, Katie, Nicholas, Kyle, Kaylie, Mackenzie, Chloe, Carter, Anthony, and Amaya, and his faithful companion for the last 9 years, his pal “Simon”. Visitation for Robert will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2022, from 3:00 – 6:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. Followed by a funeral service at 6:00PM. In Lieu of flowers memorial donation may be sent to Continuum Care Hospice & Palliative Care 21 Father DeValles Boulevard, Suite 204 Fall River, MA 02721.
