Roberta Boehler Obituary

Roberta Ellen (Fiske) Boehler, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on June 25, 1935, in Middleborough, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (Plissey) Fiske, and the cherished stepdaughter of Chester Rollins.

Roberta dedicated her life to her family, especially to her husband, Donald Boehler, whom she married for 59 joyous years until his passing. She was also predeceased by her son, David Boehler, and her sister, Jayne (Fiske) Lind. She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna (Boehler) Standish and her husband Barry, both of Lakeville; her dear feline companion, Bo Jangles; her brother-in-law Bud Lind; her nieces Kathy Lind and her wife Marie and their daughter Rebekah of Maine, and niece Riley Lind of Fall River. Roberta shared a special bond with her cousins, who were like siblings to her: Claire Norton, Jeanette (Caldwell) Ducharme, Jay Plissey, Sheila (Plissey) Perkins, Myles Mastera, Janice (Erickson) Hartford, and Steven Erickson, among many lifelong friends and family.

A devoted homemaker, Roberta enjoyed nurturing her family before transitioning to work as a waitress and insurance runner as her children grew older. She had a passion for drawing, painting landscapes, and coloring, which brought her joy and relaxation. Her heart was full when she spent time in Fitzwilliam, NH, snowmobiling and camping, as well as in Maine at her sister and brother-in-law's home, where she relished watching the lobster boats and the ever-changing tides.

Roberta was an active member of the New England Carriage Club #13, traveling throughout New England and Michigan with the group, sharing her love of community and companionship. She also immersed herself in the life of her local community, graciously supporting the Lakeville United Church of Christ's clothing sales and Christmas fairs.

A Celebration of Life for Roberta will be held at a later date where family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her extraordinary life, share memories, and honor her legacy of love and kindness.
