Sandra L. (Sloat) Gould

On April 16, 2026, Sandra L. Gould passed away following a brief period of declining health.

Sandra was the youngest daughter of the late Alice MacDonald Sloat and the late Harry R. Sloat. She was predeceased by her son, Jason A. Gould, and her brother, David Sloat.

Sandi graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1972 and continued her education at Bridgewater State College, earning her degree in 1976. After the birth of her first son, Jason, in 1978, she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mother and later part-time as a homemaker for the elderly. Following the graduation of her second son, Paul, in 1998, Sandi worked as a travel agent.

Sandi enjoyed reading, camping, cruising, and, most of all, helping friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis Gould (retired Brockton Fire Department); her son Dr. Paul Gould and his wife Amanda of Lakeville; and her beloved grandchildren, Dominic Gould of Lakeville and Jace Gould of Middleboro, who knew her as "Gigi." She is also survived by her twin sister, Susan Gilbert and her husband Carey of East Berlin, PA.

Sandi had three cherished bonus grandchildren: Brandon Perry of Lakeville, Logan Verhaegen of Middleboro, and Jayden Lee of Clinton, MA. She also became "Mama Boston" to her late son Jason's former shipmates, Sarah Bunger of Arkansas and Mark Sanders of Texas.

Sandi will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends, too many to name for fear of leaving someone out. She will be especially missed by her traveling companions, Maureen and Warren Minasian of Bridgewater, and Peter and Cindy Kuhn of Plymouth.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 8, 2026, at 10:00AM, at The First Congregational Church at The Green on 6 Plympton Street Middleboro, MA 02346. Those attending are invited to continue across the street to The Parish Cemetery at The Green following the memorial service, where Sandi will be laid to rest.
