Sharon A. (Nowicki) Costa

Sharon A. (Nowicki) Costa, age 61, loving wife for 42 years of Gary F. Costa, passed away unexpectedly on Monday June 12, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. The daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Cusson) Nowicki, Sharon was born in New Bedford, on Tuesday, August 8, 1961. In addition to her husband Gary, Sharon is survived by her daughter Heidi Brown and her husband Stephen of Dartmouth, daughter Kellie Pupko and her husband Nick of Lakeville, son Wayne Costa and his wife Jess of Marion, and her grandchildren Logan, Caleb, Lauren, and Hailey. She was predeceased by her sister Debra Goulet.

Sharon grew up in Dartmouth, graduating from Dartmouth High School, class of 1979. She continued her education attending classes at UMASS Dartmouth. Sharon and Gary first lived in Fall River, before settling in Lakeville in 1995. A talented artist, Sharon enjoyed painting, drawing, and working with pastels. She also had her own business, “Forever Etched”, creating custom glass etching.

A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday June 22, 2023, at 10:00AM, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown, MA.  An hour of visitation will be held prior to the funeral mass, from 8:30-9:30AM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. Sharon will be laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River, following the funeral mass.
