Sheila G. Batchelder

Sheila G. Batchelder, age 74, of Raynham, MA, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA, after a decline in her health over the past several months. Sheila was born on Thursday, March 17, 1949, in Middleboro, MA, to the late Herbert W. and Mordina G. (McLure) Batchelder. She was a class of 1967 graduate of Middleboro High School and went on to attend classes at the former Bridgewater State College, now Bridgewater State University. Sheila worked for Winthrop Atkins in Middleboro as a secretary up until her retirement.

Sheila is survived by her two brothers Herbert Batchelder and his wife Lisa, and Michael Batchelder and his wife Karen. She loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews Brian and his wife Jennifer, Steven and his wife Heather, Timothy and his wife Rachel, Jason and his wife Lyndsey, and Ashlynn and her husband Kevin, including her great nieces and nephews, Hannah, James, Asher, Harper, Theodore, Rhett, Leila, Calleigh, and Dylan. Sheila was predeceased by her brother John C. Batchelder.

A private family gathering will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 2:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347, followed by a graveside service at Nemasket Hill Cemetery on Plymouth Street in Middleboro, where she will be laid to rest with her parents Herbert and Mordina and brother John.
