It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Suzanne M. Pineau, who died peacefully at home on Monday, November 20, 2023. She loved to travel, paint, quilt, knit and many other crafts. She was a member of multiple book clubs. She loved cats and dogs (was a great sitter for Buffy, Maggie and Gracie), volunteered at a local pet shelter and supported many charities. Suzanne had a great collection of lighthouses, shells and butterflies.
Suzanne lived in California, Florida and Massachusetts. She attended Mater Dei Academy and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to retiring, Suzanne worked at Wilmer Hale in Boston for many years as a legal secretary.
Family was the most important thing in Suzanne’s life. She lived with and cared for her mother, Bernadette, for the last few years of her life. On any day you could find her making lamps for her newest great niece/nephew, creating ceramic pumpkins for all her married nieces/nephews, or some new craft for her sisters/brothers for gifts. Her family always looked forward to receiving these personalized gifts from her. Suzanne made the best apple, pumpkin, and lemon meringue pies for all the family holidays. She recently took up golf so she could spend more time on the course with her family. She always found time to visit her family and never missed her month-long annual trip to PEI, Canada to visit with all her aunts, uncles and cousins. Phase 10 games with the family were always a favorite of hers.
Suzanne was the loving daughter of the late Robert M. and Bernadette A. Pineau of Brockton. She is survived by her sisters and brothers; Mary Redman of Middleboro, MA, Robert and Donna (Brindley) Pineau of Duxbury, MA, Therese (Pineau) and Harry Robishaw of Nantucket, MA, Donald Pineau of Middleboro, MA, Gabrielle Pineau of Leland, NC, Sara (Pineau) and Thomas Mydlack of Rochester, MA, Joseph and Deborah (Harris) Pineau of Hudson, OH. She will also be …missed by her nieces and nephews; Kade Redman, Brad Pineau, Meredith (Pineau) Fahy, Brian Pineau, Elizabeth (Pineau) Hamilton, Jodie (Robishaw) Reardon, Harry Robishaw, Matthew Pineau, Timothy Mydlack, Thomas Mydlack, Olivia Mydlack, Rebecca Pineau, Jack Pineau, Nicholas Pineau and many great nieces/nephews.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 7, 2023, at 10:30 am at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman Street in Brockton, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Suzanne requested no flowers. Donations in her name can be made to the Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org, Father Bills and MainSpring at www.helpfbms.org, or Animal Rescue League of Boston at www.arlboston.org.
