Teri-Ann M. (Dunn) Bumpus

With quiet strength, and a deep love of her husband, Teri-Ann Margaret Bumpus passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, at the age of 80. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, on January 7, 1945, to John and Doris Dunn, Teri Ann's life was one of deep love and quiet strength. A graduate of Avon High School and Bridgewater State College, she pursued her passion for science and education, earning a degree in Biology and Education. She spent her career inspiring young minds as a dedicated science teacher at Brockton Junior and High School as well as Randolph High School. Teri-Ann was a woman of many talents and joys. She delighted in playing and teaching guitar, preserving cherished memories through scrapbooking, and sharing everyday adventures with her beloved husband of 56 years, Arthur J. Bumpus, Jr. Their enduring marriage was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering companionship. She is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur; her eldest daughter, Bonnie M. Wortham of Florida, along with Bonnie's husband, Terrell, and their children: James Pilkenton, Jackie Pilkenton, Abigail Wortham, Joel Wortham, and Leah Wortham. Teri Ann's youngest daughter, Brandy N. Straka, also survives her, together with Brandy's husband, Ian, and their children, Nikolaos Sedell and Alexandros Sedell. Teri-Ann will be remembered for her wisdom as a teacher, and her devotion as a wife and quiet love of a mother and grandmother. Her presence will be remembered by those whose lives she touched in quiet and meaningful ways. Private visitation for Teri-Ann will be held on Monday July 28, 2025 at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347, followed by a private funeral service at the funeral home. Teri-Ann will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery in East Bridgewater following the funeral service.
