Theresa P. (Doyle) Walsh, “Marni” age 87 of Lakeville, MA, formerly of Braintree, MA, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Plymouth Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Plymouth, MA. She was the devoted wife of 45 years to her loving husband John “Jack” Walsh who preceded her in death. Marni was born in Boston, MA, on Sunday June 17, 1936, and was proudly raised a “Roxbury girl”. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence D. and Ethel (Sheehan) Doyle. Marni worked for the former New England Telephone Company from where she retired in 1994. She dedicated her spare time to aiding the elderly through various volunteer positions at the Middleborough and Lakeville Councils on Aging. Marni enjoyed bird watching and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Kathleen Litchfield and husband Douglas of East Freetown, MA, Patrick Walsh of Randolph, MA, Terri Walsh of Attleboro, MA, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters Anastasia Hennessey of New Jersey and Gloria Chausse of Middleborough, MA, and many nieces and nephews. Marni was predeceased by her daughter Maureen Walsh of Wilmington, NC, brothers John, James, Albert, Lawrence, Clifford, and Neil Doyle, and sisters Helen Doyle and Anne Ciampa. Theresa’s family would like to thank her caregivers at Plymouth Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for their kindness and compassion in her final days. She will be honored by her family through a private ceremony.
