Thomas J. Kennedy

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas J. Kennedy, age 81, beloved husband of Christine LeBlanc, who departed from this world on January 18, 2025, at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, following a brief illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 5, 1943, Thomas was the cherished son of the late Thomas and Alice (McGrath) Kennedy.

A proud graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston, Tom served in the United States Army Reserves and has been a resident of Rochester, MA, since 2018. He was the founder and owner of Thomas J. Kennedy Plumbing, Heating & HVAC, Inc., a business he established in 1967. Known for his strong work ethic, Tom earned the respect and admiration of his customers and colleagues alike.

Tom was a man of many passions; he enjoyed working out, playing golf, and for 18 years, he participated in the Pan Mass Challenge, with his last ride occurring at the age of 75. His spirit of determination and enthusiasm for life will long be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, Christine, Thomas is survived by his loving children, Christine Kennedy, Stephen Kennedy and his wife Robin, and Pamela Hohmann and her husband Scott. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Kennedy, brother, Paul Kennedy and his wife Anne. Loving grandpa to Alex, Chloe, Emily, Lexi, and Kendall. Additionally, he leaves behind a loyal childhood friend, James Hutchinson, his father-in-law, Roger LeBlanc, and a special aunt, Lorraine Kunz. Tom was a cherished Uncle Tom to many nieces and nephews, and he will be missed by his beloved fur baby, Floki.

 In honor of Tom's wishes, funeral services will be private.

Thomas J. Kennedy will be remembered fondly for his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to share in his life.
