Virginia Soule (Perkins) Nourse

Virginia Soule Nourse, age 95, wife of the late Judson Keith Nourse, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at her home in Middleboro, MA, following a decline in her health over the last several months. Born in Middleboro, MA, on Thursday, April 28, 1927, Virginia was the daughter of the late Harold and Emma (Soule) Perkins. A life long resident of Middleboro, Virginia graduated from Middleboro High School, class of 1945, and continued her education at the Williams Business School, graduating in 1946.

Virginia was employed at Plymouth Shoe in Middleboro for a number of years before she became a teller at Mayflower Bank eventually moving to the Mortgage Department where she worked until her retirement. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards and dominos, winning more than she lost. Virginia was happiest being with family and friends, swimming and walking the beach at Sandy Neck. She was also the oldest and longest member of Central Congregational Church in Middleboro for 80 years.

Virginia is survived by her daughters; Kathy Nourse, Doreen Sullivan and her husband Bill, and Cheryl Nourse and her partner Paul Singley, grandchildren: Staci Standish and her partner Edward Langelier, Joshua Standish and his wife Denise, Lisa Easterbrooks, Conor Sullivan and his spouse Rebecca, and Colin Sullivan. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Avery and Myles Standish and Lily Easterbrooks. 

Visitation for Virginia will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 2:00PM at the Central Congregational Church 2 Webster Street Middleboro, MA 02346. A private graveside service for the family will be held on Monday March 6, 2023, in Nemasket Cemetery in Middleboro, where Virginia will be laid to rest with her late husband Jud.
