Werner Reynold (Rennie) Uhlin, III passed from us on Friday the 13th of December after a period of declining health. Originally from Waltham, Rennie lived in Canton, Walpole and most recently in Lakeville. Born in 1944, he was the son of Werner Uhlin, Jr. and Clara (Haslam) Uhlin, and was predeceased by his brother Donald. He is survived by his wife Deborah of Lakeville, his son Seth of Billerica, and many members of his extended family of various creations! After serving in the U.S. Air Force with a tour in Vietnam, Rennie attended Bentley College, and later established SYMAT, Inc., providing computer services to the oil industry. He was an avid golfer, playing all over the world as a member of the Air Force golf team, and was a former member of LeBaron Hills and Glen Ellen Country Clubs. Rennie’s family is most appreciative of the Veteran’s Administration home based care team in Plymouth for their support and dedication to his care. They also thank Rennie’s prior caregivers Ashlynn and Marina for their personal relationships with Rennie and especially and most recently the awesome Ashley. Donations in Rennie’s memory may be made to PGA Hope at PGAHope.com or an organization of your choosing. In a handwritten note dated March 8, 2012, Rennie wrote “Memories are stronger than the current experience” and he stated on December 11, 2024, that he was a happy man. Can’t beat that.
