William Nazzaro, Sr. Obituary

William E. Nazzaro, age 78, loving husband of Alice M. (DiStefano) Nazzaro, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2022, at his home in Lakeville surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Boston, MA, on Wednesday November 10, 1943, to parents William and Katherine (McGinnis) Nazzaro. Bill’s parents moved the family to Randolph, MA, where Bill attended Randolph High School. Following graduation, Bill attended trade school where he excelled as a car mechanic. After he finished trade school in 1962, Bill joined United States Army Reserves-QMC. Bill worked as a mechanic for a Chevrolet dealership prior to owning and operating his own Getty Gas Station on Central Ave in Milton, MA. From the Getty Gas Station Bill would start another business. In May of 1969 Blue Hills Towing was established. Blue Hills Towing has been in business for 53 years and is currently being run by his son Christopher Nazzaro. In the 1970’s, Bill proudly donated a set of Jaws of Life to the Town of Milton. Bill also took courses to be an EMT. In addition to running Blue Hills Towing Bill managed several Exxon Gas Stations one in Milton and the other in Middleboro, MA. In 2000 Bill retired from Blue Hills Towing allowing his late daughter Jacqueline A. Wuestefeld and son Christopher Nazzaro to carry on the family business. Although Bill’s retirement was short lived, he established in 2001, Horse Lovers Tack & Apparel in Lakeville, MA, out of his love for his horses. Bill belonged to the Statewide Towing Association, where he was a past President. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was also a New England Morgan Horse Association Board member. In addition to his wife Alice, Bill is survived by his sons William Nazzaro Jr, and Christopher Nazzaro, stepdaughter Lisa Moscoffian, and grandchildren Matthew and Derek Wuestefeld, Annabeth and Conner Nazzaro, and Ella and Matthew Moscoffian. Bill was predeceased by his daughter Jacqueline A. Wuestefeld. All are welcome to attend visiting hours for Bill on Wednesday August 10, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00PM. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 11, 2022, at 10:00AM at Sts. Martha & Mary Catholic Church, 354 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347.
