Barbara Ouderkirk (née Keeler) died peacefully in her bed on August 11, 2017 in Chester, PA at the age of 96.
Barbara is survived by her children, Stephen Ouderkirk and Thomas Ouderkirk. She is preceded in death by her husband Merton H. Ouderkirk, sister Caroline Boyd, and her son Andrew Ouderkirk.
Barbara was born on May 29, 1921 in West Bridgewater Mass to Everett and Florence Keeler. She married Merton H Ouderkirk, during WWII. Together, they established and worked Glad Acre Farms for over 50 years. Over the years the couple welcomed 3 children into their home.
She was an active and dedicated member of the Cochesett Methodist Church, and often volunteered at different locations.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday August 26, 2017, 10 am at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton Mass. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara’s life.

My brother Charlie Higgins worked with both of you in high school years and I was a frequent visitor to the fields and the farmstand but alas Charlie will welcome your mother with open arms

So sorry to hear about your mother's passing, but she had good, long, and full life, and was surely proud of her sons.
Doesn't seem like the same neighborhood without the Ouderkirks here.

Very sorry for your loss. My mother, Janet Carlson, and your mother were close friends over many years in West Bridgewater and Punta Gorda, FL. Our mothers attended WB schools and graduated the same year. They stayed in contact over the years until your mother moved to PA. Andy and I were classmates. My mother is still with us and was very unhappy to hear of her passing.
