Christopher Richard age 62, of Pembroke MA passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Feb 2, 2020.

Christopher was born in New Bedford to the late Natalie (Eleuterio)Richard & Donald Richard.

Chris attended Southeastern Regional Technical School & worked for many years as a Press Operator in local businesses on the South Shore & Boston. He enjoyed cooking & was employed as a cook at Bongi’s Turkey Roost.

He had several hobbies with a special talent for drawing, a love of nature, & Boston sports. Chris was a wonderful story teller with a laugh that filled a room & a smile that came from the heart.

Chris loved cat boats and the times he spent sailing in Plymouth Bay were among his happiest. He frequented Manomet & Pymouth Beaches & vacationed on Lake George in New York. Chris had a passion for music, live concerts & fishing. He spent years joyfully cheering on his sons & grandchildren on playing fields, at t-ball & flag football games, & dance recitals and had his own public access broadcast soccer show ”From The Pitch” with his brother in law when his sons played soccer.

He was a devoted father, doting grandfather, & beloved brother Chris considered family his biggest blessing.

Chris is survived by his treasured five sons & family- Rob Richard & wife Tracey Richard of Middleboro, Christopher Richard & wife Wendy Richard of Dighton, Nathaniel Richard & wife Jennifer Robbins Richard of Carver, Nicholas Richard of Pembroke, & Noah Richard of Washington DC. “Pops” is also survived by the grandchildren he adored- Zachary, Giana , Isaiah, Natalie, Cole, & new baby William and is survived by former wife Patricia Richard & family.

Chris is also survived by his sisters & brothers who shared many memorable adventures with him growing up in New Bedford & East Bridgewater- Donna Richard, Andrea Arratoon, Diana Lee, Timothy Richard, Matthew Richard, Michael Richard, David Richard & his cherished nieces & nephews.

Bruce Springsteen was one of Chris's favorite musicians- ''But the stars are burning bright Like some mystery uncovered.I’ll keep moving through the dark with you in my heart. My blood brother''

Visiting hours are scheduled at 8:30 am on Saturday February 8 followed by a service at 11 am at Dahlborg- MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford St Lakeville MA.

Friends & family are invited to a Celebration of Life after the service from 12 to 4 pm at the Commercial Club 1 Neilson Ave East Bridgewater MA.
