Brett Patrick Benner, 24, of Middleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly December 16, 2020 due to a short illness.

Born in Lebanon, New Hampshire he was the loving son of Steven M. and Anita L. (Williams) Benner of Middleboro.

Brett was educated in Middleboro Schools and had lived in Alexandria, NH moving to Middleboro 13 years ago.  He was part of the ARC Program of Middleboro. 

Brett loved his IPad, people watching, eating and being with and going for rides his family.  He was a Communicant of the Cranberry Catholic Collaborative in Middleboro.

In addition to his parents Steven and Anita he is survived by 4 brothers Steven Benner, Jr. of Abington, Atty. Thomas Benner and his wife Patricia “Tricia” of Plymouth, Mark Benner and his wife Amy of Bridgewater, and Keith Benner of Middleboro; a sister Erin Fitzgerald and her late husband Luke of Concord, NH; his Maternal Grandmother Anita Griffin of Middleboro; 4 aunts Susan Kohlhofer and her husband John of FL, Donna Devlin of Middleboro, Anne Degrechie of Randolph and Bridget Joyce and her husband Anthony of Weymouth and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was also the nephew of his special aunt the late Sharon Benner.

The family would like to give special thanks to Gail White for her involvement with Brett’s care.

Due to Covid-19 Brett’s Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later date to be announced.

Oh my Bubba, there are no such words that I could use to express the sadness in my heart right now. I spent 7 years with you in the Middleboro schools and learned so much from you. You’ve touched my heart and so many of those you came into contact with. Fly free Brett, hope to see you again someday !!!

He was a Special Person and was loved by family and friends while he was with us!!
He may not be with us physically any more, but he is forever in your hearts!!!

Dear Benner Family,

My deepest condolences to all of you as you process the sudden loss of our dear Brett. It was an honor and privilege to get to know Brett over the past year. Brett loved watching all of his peers and was attentive to everyone around him. We will miss his bright smile and his hand holding.
