William Arthur Johnson age 81, Passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 with his loving wife and soulmate Susan (Rubelli) Johnson by his side. In addition to his wife Susan, William is survived by his children; Pamela Getchell of Raynham MA, Michael Johnson of Hatfield MA, Michele Bleckley of Lakeville MA, Eric Johnson of Mashpee MA, Traci Dubray of New Bedford MA, and Heather Martin of Woodstock GA. Thirteen Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his daughter Terri (Ratcliffe) Bilunas formerly of Bridgewater MA.

Bill was an extremely hard working man, who at an early age began working alongside of his Grandfather and Father learning the family trade. He was to become a third generation stone mason. Later on he would work alongside his two sons, passing along to another generation his amazing talent. There was a time in East Bridgewater when Bill was synonymous with every fireplace built in every new home.

Bill was a long time member of the East Bridgewater Kiwanis Club. Whether it was flipping pancakes at the annual breakfast, or selling Christmas trees at the annual Christmas on the common. Always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He especially enjoyed the Kiwanis golf trips to Myrtle Beach SC. He dedicated years of service as the chairman of the East Bridgewater Board of Health.

Bill cherished the time spent with his family, pool time fun with the grandchildren, snowball fights and igloo building in the winter. Playing cards, a game of dominoes, shooting a game of pool, especially a walk on the beach, his happy place. With his "quick wit" sense of humor and storytelling, there was no absence of laughter if you were lucky enough to spend time with him. Known for his love and dedication to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Bill will be held on Sunday February 14, 2021 from 2:00 - 5:00pm. Due to COVID-19 the funeral service for Bill will be private. in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation to the D.A.V. Disabled American Veterans P.O. BOX 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301.
