Charlotte “June” (Anderson) Ohman, 88 yrs. died peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 19, 2018 in West Bridgewater MA from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. June was born in Brockton, MA on June 7, 1929, the loving daughter of the late Charles and Ebba (Hanson) Anderson.

She graduated from Brockton High School, class of 1947, with honors. Fluent in shorthand, June swiftly picked up a position as a medical secretary at Brockton Hospital and later worked as a teacher’s aide at the Shaw School in Brockton. June married her first love, Edgar Ohman, and enjoyed 68 years together. June and Edgar resided in Brockton, MA, Cape Neddick, ME and most recently in West Bridgewater, MA. She was a lifelong member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (formerly Gethsemane Lutheran), Brockton, MA.

In addition to her husband, June is survived by her children Richard Ohman and his wife Amy, Sandra Stallard and her husband Norman, Robert Ohman and his wife Lisa, and grandchildren Anders and Becky Ohman, Nicole Stallard, Kelsey and Molly Ohman. She is predeceased by her sister Shirley Anderson.

June lived her life with a generous spirit, kindness, and acceptance and was surrounded by love in return. She will forever be remembered for her baking, sewing, knitting and crafting talents. No child in her life was without a Raggedy Ann or Andy doll and whoopie pies, and no clothing or household project was too complicated for her needle. June thrived hosting gatherings, relatives from Sweden and Finland, and Swedish family Christmas parties that her extended family will always cherish. Some of June’s treasured memories included long walks on Ogunquit Beach and Marginal Way with Edgar in Maine, traveling in Europe with Edgar and other family members, camping and a cross-country trip with her young family, and weekends in Maine with children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in June’s honor on May 26, 2018 at 11:00 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Brockton, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 906 North Main St. Brockton, MA .
